Hilary Wardhaugh is a photographer from the ACT and has won a tonne of awards which has given her the prestigious title of Master photographer.
This print was taken as part of a series when she visited Iceland a trip she’d wanted to do for a long time. At age 50 it seemed like a good idea.
From the photographer:
“I needed to experience something that was different from anything I have ever done. I wanted to visit Iceland, a country so far removed in distance, temperature, light and landscape.
I experienced sunrise at 11am and sunset at 3pm, howling winds, freezing wet cold and incredibly icy that it was impossible to stand without proper spikes on my shoes.”
