Christopher Tung, born and raised in Melbourne, is a landscape and travel photographer.
Chris’ love of travel and adventure has taken him to many inspiring places for his photography, from the great modern cities to some of the most amazing national parks and hiking trails. However, it is in the outdoors, where he draws his deepest influences. Carrying a camera with him on every adventure, he is able to capture the magnificent wonder and rugged beauty of nature.
From the photographer:
Driving the Ring Road around Iceland is quite an adventure and a landscape paradise. Each turn and pit stop brings a new incredible sight.
We stopped off at the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon to view the magnificence of the floating icebergs.
I found these lonely icebergs floating in the tranquil water. The muted teal of the lagoon water blending into the grey sky backdrop gives a calm watercolour effect. This photo of a natural landscape looks like it could be a modern abstract painting.
This scene is beautiful and serene but also conveys the sad state of nature. To me, this photo also captures the visible effects of global warming as the fragments of the icebergs melt away.
