Love It or List It is a TV series on Foxtel’s Lifestyle channel in a brand new series featuring hosts Andrew Winter and Neale Whittaker.
The series follows home owners across the country who are struggling wether to renovate and love the home they are in; or to sell up and find a new dream home somewhere else. Andrew shows the homeowners there are bigger and better options of houses on the market whilst Neale gives homeowners homes a makeover to show them it’s better to live where they are.
In this episode Anita and Cameron have a five bed home but the layout stops them from spending family time together with their three kids. Neale Whittaker saves the day by re-uniting the floor plan with a killer new makeover

CALMED
FROM THE PHOTOGRAPHER:
This image was captured in southern India on Vembanad Lake, which is the largest lake in the state of Kerala and the longest lake in India. Kerala is renowned for its backwaters and lakes. Boats are often the main mode of transport and provide a slower pace of life. The slower pace is often welcomed as a refreshing way to travel as India can be a bit of an assault on the senses at times. It can be loud, colourful, busy and diverse. But one of the wonderful things about India is that amongst all the craziness there are beautiful pockets of calm; places you can escape to and enjoy beautiful landscapes in peaceful settings. The peacefulness is almost heightened and further enhanced by the contrast. On the day I captured this image, I rose early in an attempt to beat the heat and wandered into town. I decided to hop aboard the local boat to see where it would take me. As the small boat ferried locals across the lake I was spoilt with spectacular views of a variety of bird life and an insight into life on the lake for local fisherman. Being early in the morning, the light picked up the beautiful textures and ripples in the water that the boats created, and I took the trip across that lake three times looking for the perfect shot. I wanted an image that captured the beautiful blue hues of the deep water and hinted at the signs of life in the calm waters; an image that took the viewer to their place of calm…

SOLITUDE
FROM THE PHOTOGRAPHER
Emma McEvoy is an award winning photographic artist from the beautiful coast of the Mornington Peninsula.
Emma’s passion for travel and nature has led her to create bodies of work in an array of breathtaking landscapes all over the world. From the mountains of New Zealand, to the glaciers of Iceland, and now most recently in her latest series, the desert plains of Africa.
From the photographer:
I spent the day just wandering through the middle of the Namibian desert, where you could see nothing but sand dunes for miles. With every picture I took, I became more obsessed to keep taking pictures.
Each shot was so unique. The different patterns and formations in the sand, the way the light and shadow created different effects as the sun moved across the sky, the subtle changing tones in the sand.
I began to notice the smaller details that you may miss in a more diverse landscape. The desert demands your attention and you give it. I’ve never felt so present.
I walked for hours through the dunes in absolute awe, feeling like I was walking through a giant abstract painting. The vastness, the history and the beauty of the desert is unlike anything on Earth.

MODERNIST
FROM THE PHOTOGRAPHER
As photographers, we call the hour before sunset the ‘golden hour’. It’s that time when the light is beautiful and soft, and has beautiful orange and pink hues. It’s my favourite time to shoot, as the shadows are flattened and line, texture and shape are enhanced.
As I wandered down the Malecon (esplanade) in a small beach town in Mexico, enjoying that beautiful time of day, I marvelled at how the locals came out to enjoy that time too. It was like the sleepy town had woken up as the intense heat of the day had eased, and it was now the time for kids to balance on the sea wall, couples to share an ice cream and families to ride their bikes along the path. Even though most people sat facing the ocean and watched the spectacular sunset, I was captivated by the modernist hotel facing the ocean and the colours reflected by the sunset.
