We’re so excited to announce that Hilary Wardahugh’s award winning prints are available at One Fine Print!
One Fine Print Photographer, Hilary Wardahugh has been recently given the title
2015 EPSON ACT Photographer travel photographer of the year and
2015 EPSON ACT book photographer of the year
by the Australian Institute of Professional Photography.
From Hilary on her experience of entering the awards:
“I joined the AIPP as a student in 1997. Every year since 1999 I have entered the state and national awards.
Every year my anxiety and my blood pressure is at its highest when watching the awards especially when my image turns around in front of five esteemed judges. Every year I wonder why I do it.
In the first year that I entered the awards for my state in 2000 I did extremely well and won the following categories: wedding, portrait, illustrative, landscape and the big prize ACT AIPP professional photographer of the year. In 2001 I did the same with the exception of landscape. Of course, some years are better than others but when I don’t do as well as I hoped it just spurs me on to do better the following year.
I was completely inspired by the landscape. I created a book with the images and many beautiful prints. I am so thrilled that these images have been recognised as award worthy images and given me the title of AIPP 2015 EPSON ACT Travel photographer of the year and ACT Book photographer of the year.
Yes, it is lovely to have success. You can’t have success if you don’t enter and put yourself out there to be judged by your peers. Scary though it is, it has its benefits.
Continuous professional development and personal work is vital for a healthy creative mind and business.”
