aka Mark Lobo’s Bananas
Mark Lobo is a Melbourne based photographer. But has spent time living in Hong Kong, Japan and the Sunshine Coast of Australia! Mark combines technical precision with fun and colourful to form his own unique style.
The Graze series in which features food shot in a quirky and unusual way are no exception to his signature creative and colourful style.
The bananas image titled Graze I, hung in our Fitzroy pop up store window and stopped passers by in their tracks and was very much the discussion point for many who visited us in the store.

“The bananas are a part of a series of food works that I had been working on for a few years. The bananas were the first of many edible items that kicked off the series. I decided to focus and experiment on finding new, creative and playful ways to photograph food and break the mould of what we often see in magazines and even instagram. In shooting this series, I simply selected a food item and a single coloured backdrop and sets myself a few hours to come up with something interesting, playful and new.”
